Landor Associates has hired Stuart Sproule as president of North America, a new position, and managing director of its New York office.
Sproule will start Monday and will report to CEO Lois Jacobs. He'll be responsible for growing the global brand consultancy's U.S. offices, including New York, San Francisco, Chicago and Cincinnati.
Sproule comes from TBWA's Digital Arts Network, where he was president. At TBWA, he helped build digital services, integration and collaboration across the network.
Earlier in his career, Sproule spent 12 years at AKQA, serving as managing director in both San Francisco and Shanghai, while also heading the international operations and talent department. He has worked on brands such as Target, Verizon, Visa and Charles Schwab.
Jacobs described Sproule a "superb leader and respected client strategist," adding, "His extensive experience in digital branding and marketing will further expand Landor’s capabilities in these areas."
